Protect our parks, library and support community recreation
About 7% of Mequon’s tax portion goes to community enrichment, which includes Parks, the Community Pool, and the Weyenberg Library. The City of Mequon jointly administers the library with the Village of Thiensville, and these services are provided to the community to improve the overall quality of life within the city.
Mequon’s 27 parks are some of our best assets. I spent many years coaching youth baseball in Mequon and swimming with my children in the Mequon pool. The City has 10 baseball fields, 20 soccer fields, and 6 playgrounds. We build relationships in our parks, on our fields, and in our library. I will continue to advocate for community enrichment resources in Mequon.
